About The World Formula Modifieds, LLC

Breif History: Our Microstock race class was organized in 1979 as an alternative to open wheel modified racing, with the main difference focusing on a way to race competitively at a fraction of the cost. The popularity of this division afforded racers the opportunity to experience the same thrill and excitement that the big name race car drivers experience. Pine Brook Speedway in Pine Brook, NJ was the original "home" racing facility for the Microstocks. Our organization enjoyed a boom of growth and an exploding fan base. Some nights we drew over 65 cars! The success of the class received recognition in Stock Car Magazine. Weekly race results were listed in the Area Auto Racing News under the American Micro Stock Racing Association (A.M.S.R.A.) banner. With the closing of Pine Brook Speedway in 1989, the Microstock class has divided, forcing racers to search for alternate tracks. Over the years, each track has adapted the Microstock division to their own rules and class modifications, limiting the amount of cars capable of competing at various tracks.

What is a World Formula Modified? A World Formula Modified is a down-sized version of the Northeastern DIRT or NASCAR Modified race cars. They are fun and affordable and provide a new form of competitive racing to those who don’t want to spend a fortune. The Modifieds are powered by a Briggs & Stratton World Formula engine which runs on pump gasoline and features an electric start while producing 15 HP. The engine is sealed by an authorized distributor to ensure uniform mechanical consistency throughout the division. There are no spec cars, so you can build it yourself, purchase a used one from a racer, or buy one from a builder.

2008 World Formula Tour Rule Book: PDF Version

What is the World Formula Tour? The World Formula Modified Tour has been devoted to creating a standard set of spec rules and maintaining those rules in an effort to bring the class back to its former popularity. In a short period of time, we have received a tremendous response from competitors that have the same goal. We have put together a structured point fund to compliment the purses that will be awarded to the top finishers at each of the race events. The World Formula Modifieds also expects to draw newcomers to the Microstock class by planning and organizing its tour race events at various tracks located in the New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut & Massachusetts areas.

World Formula Race Cars: The World Formula Modifieds, LLC also builds these race cars for people who cannot fabricate their own. We are committed to our product and stand behind what we believe is the best race car in its division. In 2006 & 2007, our in-house World Formula built race cars won the Tour Championship, which included five feature victories during the 2006 regular season & seven feature victories durring the 2007 season.
